| The "Solid Gold" Philosphy |
|
At the Solid Gold Hockey Camps, all players will receive personalized instruction. Our goal is to have all players improve their hockey skills through hard work and fun repetition. Our staff has many years of playing, coaching and hockey school experience. Our Development Camps are not "elite" camps. There will be wide ranges of talent at our camps and our goal is to challenge each player individually. We feel the most enjoyment young players have in the game… is handling the puck. In many youth games, there are players that seldom, or maybe never, touch a puck through the course of a game. Our objective is to develop the ability to handle the puck as we learn other hockey skills. We will try to keep a “Puck-on-a-Stick” as much as possible. Being able to handle, pass, receive and shoot the puck are skills that make the game enjoyable. Solid Gold is of a basic, "no frills" nature. We believe the quality of the staff, the facilities and the reasonable prices are a combination worth the investment. Having the ability and skills to skate and handle the puck while skating are the keys to becoming a better hockey player. Individual effort in these areas will determine the improvement over the length of the camps. We look forward to working with your son or daughter. We are anticipating an exciting and FUN experience at the 2007 Solid Gold “Puck-on-a-Stick” Hockey Camps.
